SPONSORSHIP INFORMATION

The Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) invites you to partner with us at our national conference:  Here We Are

This year we will be holding our conference in a hybrid format which provides many opportunities for sponsors. Our annual conferences attract archivists and practitioners from all over the country and the hybrid model will facilitate access for many who are unable to attend in-person. Feedback received from delegates who attended at our virtual conference last year expressed appreciation as it allowed them to attend for the first time, noting travel and work constraints as reasons as to why they are unable to attend in person.

Keynotes and sessions will be live-streamed and available via on-demand video for conference delegates. The conference program includes presentations focussing on the conference themes of Practice and IdentityCollaboration and Advocacy; and Developing Practices, giving the profession the chance to come together and reflect on where we are as a profession right now, and where we wish to go in the future. As a partner you will have the unique opportunity to engage with those having these discussions to show what you can bring to this targeted audience and create brand recognition within the archives and records field - a key part of the Information Management industry.

How To Sponsor

Complete our sponsorship application form below and a member of our conference team will be in touch.

Build Your Brand Awareness

Our delegates will be attending in-person and online from all over Australia and we also expect online attendance from our international colleagues. Delegates come from a mix of National and State Government Departments, Archives, Galleries, Libraries, Museums, private schools, organisations, public and cultural institutions, sporting institutions and more. Our virtual option provides opportunity for international colleagues to also attend.

About the Conference

Here We Are is about giving the profession the chance to reflect on the past few tumultuous years and reflect on where we are:

  • Practice and Identity Here we are in our profession—rather than always looking to the future, where are we situated now, today? What is our standpoint? Who are we and where do we work? What have we achieved? In this theme we want to hear from you about practice, education and identity, for example, what is an archivist now? What is a record now?
  • Collaboration and Advocacy Here we are! Bringing attention to ourselves, advocating for our profession(s)—telling people we are here. Here we are in relation to others—what is our relationship to place, to Country, to Canberra and the like.
  • Developing Practices Where we aren't - thinking about spaces we might want to move into; areas we do not currently occupy; conversations we do not currently participate in; relationships we can build.

Join Us At the Leafy Historic Heart of Canberra

Here We Are will take place in Canberra at the Hotel Realm in the historic and leafy suburb of Barton. Located right next door to the parliamentary triangle, it is a short walk from the National Archives, Old Parliament House, the National Library and National Gallery.

Barton is known for its historic buildings, fine dining options and proximity to not only the parliamentary triangle but also Manuka Oval and shopping precinct.

Hotel Realm is a luxury 5 star hotel and one of Canberra’s premier function spaces. It sits at the heart of the Doma hotel group in Barton, with several fine dining restaurants within short walking distance. The Manuka shopping and dining precinct is a 15-minute walk.
