VOLUNTEERING AT HERE WE ARE 2022

Applications for student volunteers are now open.

Join us in Canberra to share your ideas and reflections, to take the time and space to reflect on where we are, focussing on our conference sub-themes of Practice and Identity; Collaboration and Advocacy; and Developing Practices.

What type of roles are available for volunteers?

  • Assisting with general conference tasks
  • Providing support for on-site enquiries
  • Helping speakers and chairpersons to prepare and monitor sessions
  • Supporting registration of delegates on their arrival
  • Assisting at social events - logistics, checking entry, etc
  • Point of contact for local specific enquiries
  • Providing support to virtual speakers
  • Providing support to virtual attendees
  • Assisting with networking and social media

What are the other benefits of becoming a conference volunteer?

  • Free entry into the ASA national conference Here We Are (limited to the days you are volunteering)
  • A chance to learn from and network with professionals
  • A chance to gain experience in event management and to show off your knowledge of Canberra

*Priority will be given, but not limited to, students and recent graduates of ASA accredited courses who are ASA members; or students and recent graduates who have submitted a proposal to speak at the conference. 

**Travel and accommodation cost for all applicants will not be covered by ASA.
